We were a group coming off a cruise ship and needed to have times adjusted to accommodate the ship’s schedule. Sean is an excellent communicator and our tour came off without a hitch. The tour is a blend of interesting and tasty seafood as well as very nice wines from the area along with a nice overview of Vigo. We have done more than a dozen food tours and this one rates highly on our list. Enjoy!

In June my husband and I had an amazing tour with Sean. The rainy day prevented us from doing the coastal hike that we signed up for so Sean make an alternative itinerary. We had a great time seeing the area, learning about its incredible history, and eating an amazing local lunch. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this tour and look forward to scheduling something else when we return.

We were on a cruise and did a History and Food walking tour of Vigo, Spain. Tiernan did a great job of relaying the history of the city and giving an insight on the local cuisine. Our favourite was the almond cake. We also had a great selection of wines throughout the tour. Would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour with Sean O’Rourke from Eat & Walkabout in Vigo on 27/9/23.Sean is a great guy with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Vigo having lived there for many years..
We are both foodies and the food and wine that Sean shared with us was local, appropriate and top notch… the local Galician wine and cheeses being a particular treat. Sean’s company provides tours in various locations in Spain and Portugal and I would recommend him 100% if you are looking for a fabulous culinary experience with the local history attached use this company

Fantastic time with Sean in Galicia! This past spring we spent about a week with Sean touring the Galician cuisine, wine and localities. We had wonderful dining experiences plus the wineries we went to were fantastic. It was special that we were able to meet the winery owners and learn more about their wines and them. Highly recommend Sean and we're already talking to him about another tour.

Madeira tour with Sean and Angie is exceptional!
We enjoyed unique gastronomic experiences, wine tastings in intimate settings, a cooking class with a local chef in his home, an off road jeep tour and swimming in natural rock pools. Our first trip to Madeira and we look forward to returning!

Sean was a Great guide and we had a Really Fabulous day wandering around the streets of Vigo with him in this small group tour. My husband and I were joined by a group of ten friends traveling together and we were one big happy family by the end of the day! Sean first took us on an easy paced walk around the city and marketplace while giving us a good overview and history of this Lovely place. After having a sweet taste of Vigo (palito de anis) in the marketplace, we stopped in three different restaurants for a leisurely paced, Delightful afternoon of progressive lunching. First, Casa Samaniego, a deli restaurant for Wonderful wines along with Beautiful trays of tapas, followed by Matices, a gourmet restaurant for a Magnificent three course meal accompanied by Delicious wine, and finally Martinez Delicatessen to complete our day with a typical Tarta de Santiago and possibly the World’s Best hot chocolate. The pace was leisurely, the food and wine were Absolutely Delectable, and we had plenty of time to savor the delicacies and enjoy each other’s company in each place. Beautiful day in Vigo!

A great introductory tour to Vigo. Led by Tiernan, one of the owners of the tour company, covering history, architecture and most important, the food of Vigo. Tiernan was quite knowledgeable, very pleasant, and took us at an easy pace. The food was delicious. I would recommend this tour to any newcomer to Vigo.
